The Lethbridge Herald, Dec 22, 1980 Ripley - Passed away on Saturday, Dec 20, 1980, Thomas A.E. Ripley aged 69 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Violet Ripley of Fort Macleod. Born in Lethbridge, his family lived in Frank for a short time and them to Fort Macleod in 1926. He attended school in Fort Macleod, following his graduation he went to Vancouver, B.C. to enroll in an Aeronautics Course. He joined the RCAF in 1942 and in 1943 married Violet Reid in Quebec City. Following the war they returned to Fort Macleod where he was employed with the Ford garage until 1962 when he joined the staff of Geo. H. Scougall Garage Ltd. retiring in July of 1978. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion. Besides his loving wife, Violet he is survived by one son Robert William Ripley and one daughter, Mr. Bob (Sandra) Kingston, four grandchildren, one brother, William all of Fort Macleod. The Funeral service will be held in Christ Church(Anglican) on Tuesday, Dec 23 at 2 pm Rev Derek Hoskin officiating.! Cremation.
